A woodland floor carpeted with Bluebells always a wonderful sight.

The intricate beauty of the Bluebell’s flower is easy to miss in the wider spectacle.
Bluebells in an ancient woodland
Lit by a shaft of sunlight piercing through the woodland canopy bluebells were said to ring when fairies were summoning their kin to a gathering. Unfortunately if heard by a human it would be their death knell. On a warm, still morning their scent can be quite heady.

Badger Sett
At times it seems that almost every Bluebell wood is home to Badgers with this Cheshire woodland being no different. The unmistakable sett is too often easy to find with well trodden paths leading through the Bluebells being a giveaway.
