The alkaline waste generated through the notorious <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Leblanc_process\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Leblanc process<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: small;\"> has weathered and gradually become less toxic.
