Reindeer<\/a> Moss
An important source of food for Reindeer\/Caribou. Typically found in the pine forests and tundra of the far north. Incredible that a small amount of it has survived at Gait Barrows since the retreat of the glaciers 15,000 years ago. In common with many other lichens it rarely grows more than 5mm per year. <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

A<\/a> couple of Scarlet Elf Cups growing on the floor of a nearby woodland.
