\nA few highlights from a grand day out at Morecambe Bay and the Trough of Bowland.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\nThere\u2019s nothing quite like watching 4 Barn Owls hunting over the mosses in late afternoon. Fortunately along the coastal marshes of Morecambe Bay they\u2019re still relatively common. Apparently there\u2019s been a shortage of voles over the winter which has led to the owls hunting from late afternoon onwards.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

\"Eyes\u00a0 Stunning birds only surpassed by a male Hen Harrier quartering the moss at the same time. Typically it had the sun right behind it so unfortunately no photograph this time.<\/p>\n

Also 6000+ Pink Footed Geese, 5000+ Starlings, Kestrel, Sparrowhawk, Yellowhammers, Tree Sparrows, Linnets, Brown Hares.<\/p>\n

Even Jake was struggling to spot any birdlife. Magnificent scenery and still relatively unspoilt. The only birds of note were 2 Dippers on Langden Brook, a pair of Buzzards and a pair of Oystercatchers.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
