Pied Flycatcher (male) at Padley Gorge, Grindleford
Burbage Brook at the northern entrance to Padley Gorge.
Great to see several Pied Flycatchers amongst the early arrivals whilst exploring the Derbyshire woodlands. Undoubtedly the river helps to ensure a vast quantity of flies and midges throughout the summer months. With at least 15 nest boxes close by it appears to be a popular spot with the flycatchers.
Pied Flycatcher (female) in the wooded valley of the River Goyt close to Errwood Reservoir.
Another male close to Errwood Hall car park.
