Male Sand Lizard at Higher Hyde HeathAlways great to see these wonderful lizards. It’s just a shame that the Kestrels appear to be far better at finding them than me.
Plenty of debris for the lizards to hide in. Also a few Slow-worms and Common Lizards around and a brief glimpse of a snake disappearing into the bramble. Could have been an Adder or Smooth Snake. Unfortunately with it being so hot the snake was gone before I had chance to identify it.

Silver Studded Blue
Amongst the Bell Heather still quite a few Silver Studded Blue’s around.
