| A slightly better view from October 2009 at Leighton Moss. For once it was a case of being in the right place at the right time as a Bittern decided to take a walk in front of the Lower Hide. |

| Golden Plover in the fields above Burton Mere. Unfortunately with the Plovers being in the same flock as the Lapwings there wasn’t a chance of getting any closer. At least 600 pair of eyes watching my attempt to casually sneak up on them from behind a drystone wall. |
