A Land that Time Forgot

34028 Eddystone approaching Corfe Castle Train Station

I’ll be honest I’m not a railway buff however I do appreciate a good old fashioned Steam Train. Likewise the hard work and dedication of all the volunteers who have made the Swanage Line a success.

Great to see the old boilerhouse repurposed as one of the more quirky art galleries.

I think we can guess where Richard Jeffery found the inspiration for this particular artwork.

A visit to the Boilerhouse Gallery is a really good opportunity to support local artists and be inspired by a unique connection to the landscape and local environment. Difficult to understand why so many holidaymakers choose to purchase mass produced rubbish found in the seafront souvenir shops when a short walk over the bridge from Corfe Castle Station can be such an eye-opener.

Sometimes rubbish can be good …………………. especially if it helps raises awareness.
